A Point of Beginning ... Towards Excellence.
UDBHAVA-2011, the MCA fresher party was conducted on 30-Aug-2011 at 4.30 PM in Seminar hall. As per tradition, MCA-II year students hosted this party to welcome the First year students of MCA. Dr. R.K. Agarwal Director AKGEC, All HODs, Deans and section in-charges graced the occasion with their presence.
The party began with the welcome to Chief Guest. Director and All HODs were presented bouquets, followed by lighting the lamp and Saraswati Vandana. The MCA-II year students presented several programs to entertain the audience of the party.
The highlights of the programs were as follows:
- Four Group Dances out of which the Dandiya dance was liked most.
- Students presented a Comedy play named “Saleem-Anarkali -A Revised Love story".
- Three Duet Songs
- Anchors of the party, asked some puzzles specifically to the freshers to get them involved in the function. The winners were awarded gifts.
- Mr. and Miss. Fresher for the First year students were selected based on three rounds of contest:
- Ramp Walking and Introduction Round
- Talent Round
- Query Round
Based on these, Ms. Priya Gupta and Mr. Bhavish Gola were declared Miss Fresher & Mr. Fresher respectively.
The cultural show got over at 6.30 PM. Thereafter, dance & dinner followed.
