A major prestigious sports event called “The Ajay Kumar Garg Memorial Table Tennis Tournament” was held in the college on 11^th and 12^th Nov 2011 . This is a state level tournament held every year, open to all professional institutes, colleges Govt/private organizations and schools, organized in association with Ghaziabad District Table Tennis Association.

The tournament had a record number of 37 teams with a total of 182 participants from the states of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttrakhand and Uttar Pradesh, besides enthusiastic response from the neighboring schools and colleges.

The closing ceremony on 12^th Nov was presided over by renowned International TT player Mr. Himansh P Kala, as the guest of honor. Total prize money of Rs 50,000/- besides trophies and certificates, was given away as prizes to the winners.

The dynamicity of A.K.G.E.C shows in each and every field. May it be cultural activities or the technical activities it has wide range spectrum to display its colors. Adding more to this dynamic spectrum is the sports activities.

A large number of sports activities are organized in the college aiding the students to display their talent in sports activities. One of the major sports event is the “Ajay Kumar Garg Memorial Table Tennis Tournament”. It is a state level tournament organized by Ghaziabad District Table Tennis Association.on annual basis at A.K.G.E.C.

Participations in this tournament are all the way from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh being the major contributor.

This time around the tournament was held between 17^th November-18^th November 2007 and was inaugurated by the SSP of Ghaziabad Mr. Deepak Ratan. The tournament was a big hit this time as it had entries from more than 25 colleges and clubs making it a total of more than 80 participants. Adding to the glory of A.K.G.E.C it was the District magistrate of Ghaziabad as the chief guest at the closing ceremony to honor the winners.
